Bio

Dongni Yang is an New York based interdisciplinary artist who was born and raised in Hebei province, China. She received her bachelor’s degree in professional Photographic Illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology, and she is currently an MFA candidate of Integrated Media Art at Hunter College. Dongni was an active member in Rochester NY underground music scene from 2016-2018. She took visual creative roles and produced multiple music videos and promo materials for local musicians and published photo book “ROC Town Underground”. She and her team received American Advertising Award- Gold Addy Award in 2017. Her photography, moving image and installation work has been published and exhibited in multiple galleries between Rochester NY and Baltimore MD.
