Project Description

The Chord Wonder is a digital synthetic folk instrument made out of wood. It is designed to be relaxing and fun to play. There is no expertise needed to make beautiful music! Set inside an intimate booth, participants will be invited to individually experiment with the instrument. Using classic American chord progressions that sound good to the ear, the instrument can creates beautiful sonic experience.

Bio

Sylvia Scahill was born in New Haven Connecticut, she grew up playing old time country and folk music with her family. Her work is multimedia including documentary, music, web programming and print. She uses archival and collage processes to understand how we collectively narrate history and construct identity. Her main goal in life is to end white supremacy.
