Bought/Broken

By Theresa Loong

Project Description
Bought/Broken is an interactive, experimental public service announcement (PSA) about domestic violence. It is important because of statistics like these: according to the CDC, “nearly 3 in 10 women (29%) and 1 in 10 men (10%) in the US have experienced rape, physical violence and/or stalking by a partner and report a related impact on their functioning.” The target audience are teens, men and women, from 16-45. The goal is to help break the cycle of fear and violence by allowing survivors to make their voices known. In addition, this project is a unique way to explain to the general public what faces and facts live behind the statistics.
