Re: SIGNAL is the interactive communication system with which the audience’s voices (or motions) are translated into visual configuration of dot patterns, inspired by Braille. It is a experiment to create the system that helps multicultural communication beyond the difference of language and communication of hearing or speaking impairment people.

Bio
Nobutaka Aozaki is a Japanese artist based in New York. He was born and grew up in Kagoshima, Japan. He has attended School of Visual Arts in NY and is currently an MFA candidate at Hunter College in New York City. His predominant medium is video that investigates issues of identity and communication. His recent exhibitions include Post-Human//Future Tense, at Columbia College Chicago, IL, Jamaica Flux at Jamaica Performing Arts Center, NY, Transplants exhibition at International Video house, Philadelphia.
