Project Description
Faces of Debt is an interactive installation that encourages people with student debt to speak out. Equal parts dress-up photo booth, collaborative installation and public projection, this project makes a real-time statement about what student debtors have to say about themselves. Each participant gets a free copy of their photo booth photograph.

Bio
Monica Johnson is a visual activist living in Queens, NY. Originally from Michigan, she studied Fine Art at San Francisco State University and l’Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, Italy before changing her focus to web & design-based work that addresses social issues. Her current project is EDU Debtors Union, a web organization that proposes the need for union representation for people with student debt.
